Frequently Asked Questions – Camping le Médiéval in Alsace

To prepare for your stay in no time, find all the frequently asked questions about accommodation: (pitches, mobile homes, Stop Étape/PMR), electricity, schedules & late arrival, pets.

1: What types of accommodations do you offer?

Pitches with electricity (tents, caravans, motorhomes), comfortable mobile homes (Turenne, Veilleur, Brand, Taos), Le Pinot mobile home adapted for people with reduced mobility, Stop Étape rooms for one night or short stays, and Access rooms (for people with reduced mobility). All our sanitary facilities are heated and accessible to people with reduced mobility.

2: How does electricity work?

Each pitch has its own individual meter (at the rear of the terminal).
• April → October: 7 kWh/night/pitch (mobile homes: 15 kWh/night)
• December (Christmas markets): 15 kWh/night/pitch (mobile homes: 35 kWh/night)
Beyond that: €0.50/kWh. Mobile home meters: in the sanitary facilities.

3: What are the arrival/departure and opening hours?

• Pitches & Stopover: arrival from 2pm, departure until 11am
• Mobile homes: arrival from 3pm, departure between 9am and 10am
Reception: 10 a.m.–12 p.m. and 2 p.m.–7 p.m. (closed 12 p.m.–2 p.m.).
Gate open 7 a.m.–10 p.m.; after 10 p.m., pedestrian campsite (access by code).

4: Can I arrive late at night?

Yes, until 10 p.m. via the arrival kiosk at the entrance.
After 10 p.m.: access on foot to the campsite grounds with your pedestrian code.
Mobile homes: remember to pay the balance and deposit (€200) 48 hours before arrival.

5: Are pets allowed?

Yes (dogs/cats must be kept on a leash and have up-to-date vaccinations).
We have a dog area and a dog-free area (separated by the canal). Playground and cycling area: dog-free side for everyone's peace and quiet.

6: What payment methods do you accept and when should payment be made?

Credit cards (Visa/Mastercard), cash, ANCV & e-ANCV, bank transfer (≥ 14 days prior).
Bank checks: no at reception, yes as a deposit if sent ≥ 14 days prior.
Payment for your stay:
• Pitches & Stopover: on arrival
• Mobile homes: 14 days before arrival
• With Neat cancellation insurance: 30 days before arrival

7: What are your cancellation terms?

5 weeks before arrival: 25% retained
≤ 5 weeks: full amount due
For peace of mind when traveling, choose Neat cancellation insurance.

8: Are you accessible to people with reduced mobility (PRM)?

Yes: dedicated Le Pinot mobile home and Accessible Room, all bathrooms are wheelchair accessible and heated. Tell us your needs: we will assign you the most comfortable accommodation.

9: Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, free of charge around the reception area. In the event of operator failure, no compensation (see Terms and Conditions). We remain available for any assistance you may require.

10: Cyclists & car-free travel: what are the options?

The campsite is located on the Alsace Wine Route Cycle Path (6 km from Colmar) with a dedicated cycling area.
Train: Turckheim station is a 10-minute walk away (TER Colmar–Munster–Metzeral + connections to Strasbourg/Mulhouse/Basel).
Trace bus (line A): to Colmar center (Theater). Departures from Place de la République (Turckheim center) or Quai du Dr Pfleger (5 min walk, opposite the campsite).
Basel-Mulhouse Airport: ~65 km (≈ 50 min by car) or train via Colmar/Mulhouse + shuttle bus.
